Cape Point Field Trip

.....Cape Towns Finest!!...

We left campus at about 9 a.m after being told we were going to leave at 08:30.... pfffftt...Typical South African time!...

I was not keen of going due to my asthma and the fact that the weather said it might rain with a chance of 80%... most of us did not know what to expect but we went along with what was prepared. One thing I truly admired was the view along the beach.... I thought to myself "this place is darn beautiful, most tourists come here for this and most of us live here and yet do not appreciate the beautiful views and seas....

As we drove along the mountain and the sea on the other side of me... I saw something looking like a seal in the water... That was such a beautiful site... Soon i became impatient and wanted to get to the place in order to do what I had to and leave.... after what felt like a five hour drive (ok, ok... I'm exaggerating a bit) but....FINALLY we arrived at the nature reserve and it seems we chose THEE most terrible day to go... It looked cold, windy and wet outside.. Which reminded me of the day we went to the Cape Flats and it was extremely HOT. Seems we always choose the wrong days to go out! Our first stop was at the shop with their ridiculously high prices...

This was our second stop.... we could take pictures or climb the stairs there... from rocky shore.. the wind was extremely cold and it was drizzling a bit but the view was exceptionally wonderful.. My other classmates all decided to go up the stairs for pictures, but my friend and I chose to sit on a rock and watch the waves and look at the tourists admire the view by taking a lot of pictures on almost every rock... In High School I was taught a bit of Mandarin and I tried it with some tourists that came from China.... They seemed so surprise to hear me greet them in their own language and they were all quite friendly.

Our last stop was the high light of the day... We walked all the way up to the light house and it felt like walking up Table Mountain... I was dreading the pain I was going to feel the next day due to me being this unfit... lol... As we walked up we saw the most amazing views and the baboons were so cute and funny... We even got a picture of a baboon with a cup of coffee... Acting like a real person!! Keeping them all big and stuff....

Half way through I thought I might faint...lol... I'm just that unfit!! I took a break at every bench i could find... My tutor for my tutorials said i was like a grandma! lmk.... And I made it to the telescope.. I did not want to walk any further.. I was done!! .. Well I had fun.... but it is not somewhere I would go just for the fun of going!
