Life Science stuff.... o_O
So we were told to write an essay about our feelings, emotions and recommendations on the past months experiences i have gained on the ECP programme for Life Science.
Honestly guys....The bull you are taught on school actually comes in handy here... Except for Protein Synthesis LOL... School kids have the mentality that what teacher says, goes... and the teacher is always right... Here I was shown that your teacher is not always right. What I was told before and what I am told now about protein synthesis are two very different views (when it comes to the tRNA).
Our first week in Life Science for our practical we are taken out into the excruciating, hot, burning sun to find different plant species! Gosh!! I thought I was going to die... ok ok... I'm exaggerating a bit! lol! And as you can imagine it's a hot summers day... and we don't even find all the plant species we are looking for!! But we don't complain because we are new and still afraid of them throwing the "I'm going to call your parents" line... Which we soon realised was not going to happen!! :)
On a serious note... I think the practical sessions and the tutorials actually do help a lot. This keeps me from going off track and keeps me focused because i never really listen to ms.Short. And no its not her fault... okay... Maybe it is... #jokes
I'm sure she is one of theeeee nicest lecturers around... Listening to other people wine about their crappy lecturers... I'm sure she is.
I would sure recommend more than 1 practical and tutorial a week. This makes one see and really grasp what is being taught! Life Science really is an interesting piece of science!
Sure guys... the first few weeks takes some getting use to this is known as the lag phase, soon you adapt to your environment ;) and you are set to face the rest of your life time on varsity.
GOODLUCK YO!!
